Fall 2021 Season – Crew Changes – CLOSED –

RE: Motion to Allow Crew Changes After the Spring 2021 SeasonThe altered 2020 football season now played between the dates of March 11th through April 17th of 2021 (referred to as “Spring 2021”) has forced a one-time only change in the dates (currently April 1st through April 30th) in Crew Change Restrictions.
For the purpose of allowing Orange County Football Officials’ Association Crew Changes during the modified Spring 2021 season only. Once the Fall 2021 season begins Crew Change Restrictions will revert back to the Orange County Football Officials’ Association Policies and Procedures Manual (Revised 3/14/19); page 13.
Crew Change refers to a Crew Chief wishing to remove one or more members of his crew for the purpose of replacing the individual(s) with another qualified official(s). A Crew Member may remove him or herself from current crew for the purpose of no longer wishing to be on a crew or to join another crew.
The Spring 2021 season will recognize the dates of May 1, 2021 through June 1, 2021 as the period when a Crew Chief or a Crew Member may be removed or leave a crew. Any crewmemberthat removes him or herself after June 1, 2021 shall not be eligible to be on a crew until the following season. (This is a one-time instance and refers to the 2022 season.)
The dates of June 2, 2021 through June 15, 2021 the Crew Chief or Crew Member must notify in writing (preferably by email) to the OCFOA Vice President Brian Brennan of any changes or movement from or to a crew.
Any crew openings that still exist on a crew after June 15th the Crew Change policy will revert to sections (5), (6), and (7) of the current Crew Change Restrictions as written in the Orange CountyFootball Officials’ Association Policies and Procedures Manual (Revised 3/14/19); page 13.
